What the FRICK?!

Have you ever thought to yourself, “what the frick?!”  Specifically on where a span of time has gone in light-speed fashion?

Well that’s what I’ve been asking myself the past couple of weeks… “What the frick Brenda?!  How did the past 6 months go by so quickly?!?“

As some of you may know, 6 months ago my Dad passed away unexpectedly.  He was 79 years old and lived across the country from me, 3000 miles away in Florida.  He was my first athletic coach and my last living parent.

The past 6 months have been two completely opposite experiences…

1. A whirlwind of activity, travel, to-do’s, logistics, etc.

And on the other end of the spectrum…

2. The feeling like I’m stuck in a quagmire of emotional molasses with an overwhelming sense of loss.

A sense of loss that goes beyond just the passing of my Dad.  An overwhelming sense of loss that encompassed that and much more, and required a lot of time for emotional processing to even begin to understand what I’ve been feeling.  I know I will share much more of this personal story and journey with you in the weeks and months to come.

For now my friend, I want to say thank you and I’m sorry.

First, I’m sorry.  I pretty much disappeared completely this last 6 months and for that I apologize.

The list would be way too long to share all of the logistical details of all that has been on my plate, beyond the emotional processing.  The short list includes, flying back and forth coast-to-coast multiple times, staying in Florida for weeks, cleaning out a house with 45-years of things, to most recently working with a CPA to file my Dad’s final tax return.  It’s amazing all of the details one has to juggle in the event of a death like this.  And the crazy part is, my Dad had a LOT of things in order!

All of that, PLUS the emotional rollercoaster of bad days, and then even worse days.  It is not an excuse.  It was just what became the reality.

I’m sorry that I haven’t been here for you.

I also want to express deep gratitude. To you, I also say a HUGE thank you... for your love, support, patience, and understanding.  On a professional level, as well as the personal level.  There have been many dark days and I am so grateful to each and every person who said a prayer, sent a text, left a voicemail, wrote an encouraging message on social media, and supported me in a ton of other ways.

Thank you with ALL of my heart.  Thank you.

Finally, I also want to express gratitude for my current business and all the work I’ve done professionally and personally up until now.

"What the frick?" you may say again.  "Are you thanking yourself Brenda??"

Well, kinda.  And ALL of the mentors, coaches, teachers, books, seminars, podcasts, teams, etc, that have led me to this point in my life.  Without all of the things I’ve learned and done in my life up until now and this amazing business, I would not have had the flexibility of time and resources to be able to do the things that I’ve needed to do these last 6 months.  So I am grateful deeply for that freedom!

It’s a wish I have for each of you… for you to create the flexibility and freedom for yourself that you desire to have.  Not only for when there is an emergency.  But for your lifestyle, if you so desire it!

So bottom line:

I apologize for my absence, I thank you for your grace, and I am back!

I am back and here to support you with The F Words of YOUR Life in any way I can.  My purpose and mission in life is to provide training, tools, coaching, and a community for like-minded individuals like YOU, who want to live their highest and best life, in all 7 F-Words of Life.
